It all began with a vision.

We are delighted to welcome you to the Australasian Classical Gala.

Founded through a collaboration between Leanne Curtis and Laura Kovler, ACG is a non-profit initiative created with a shared vision — to redefine opportunity for young dancers and ensure that access to world-class training and career pathways is no longer limited by location.

At its heart, ACG is about supporting local families, creating sustainable pathways, and empowering dancers to build careers on their own terms, whether that means remaining in Western Australia or pursuing opportunities nationally and internationally at the right stage in their development.

Together, we bring experience across strategic leadership, international event management, the arts, and youth development. This foundation allows us to deliver an event that is not only artistically inspiring, but also meaningful in its long-term impact.

As a non-profit, we are deeply committed to creating accessible pathways for young dancers to pursue excellence, while also advocating for greater access to information. In an industry where decisions are often made early, we believe that informed choices are essential to building sustainable and successful careers.

Our leadership is guided by a strong belief in opportunity, mentorship, inclusion, and empowerment through knowledge. Leanne leads the organisation with a focus on integrity, innovation, and long-term impact for emerging ballet talent across Australasia, while Laura brings a strong artistic vision shaped by her extensive creative experience.

The Australasian Classical Gala provides a platform to showcase exceptional dancers from across the region. Beyond performance, it is a space for education and exploration — helping dancers and their families better understand the diverse training pathways available both within Australasia and internationally.

At the appropriate stage in their journey, we support dancers with the knowledge, connections, and confidence to take the next step in their training and careers.

Through performance, education, and industry connection, ACG offers dancers of all levels the opportunity to gain exposure, perform at a professional standard, and engage with leading international and national artists, creating meaningful pathways for the next generation of classical and contemporary dancers.
