A performance pathway for solo, duo/trio, pas de deux, and ensemble entries across a range of styles and age groups.
Overview
General entry is across the following age divisions:
6 yrs & under
8 yrs & under
10 yrs & under
12 yrs & under
14 yrs & under
16 yrs & under
17 yrs & over
Age is determined as of 1 January in the event year.
Split into full time and part time categories, recognising different levels of ballet training intensity.
Scholarship students may also enter General Entry routines.

Categories, Rules & Requirements

Entries may be Solo, Duo/Trio, or Ensemble, depending on the category.
Categories
Ballet – Focuses on classical technique and repertoire-based choreography.
Contemporary – Emphasizes contemporary technique and movement concepts.
Demi Character – Story-driven classical work highlighting character and theatrical elements.
Neo Classical – Ballet technique blended with lyrical or jazz influences.
Jazz – A solo category showcasing versatility, style, and performance quality.
Repertoire – A recognised variation or piece from established classical ballet repertoire.
Pas de Deux – A duet performed from classical ballet repertoire.

Age Requirements
Age Determination – Age is calculated as of 1 January in the event year.
Pas de Deux – The age group is determined by the eldest dancer.
Ensembles – The age group is based on the average age of all dancers. A minimum of four dancers is required.
Pointe Work
Under 12s – Pointe work is not permitted for participant under 12 years of age
Neo Classical – Pointe work may be permitted; however, the under-12 pointe restriction still applies

Music
Music must be uploaded in MP3 format by the nominated deadline.
Dancers must also bring a USB backup on the day of the event.
Maximum Routine Times
Solos – 6 & Under: 2 minutes
Solos – Over 6: 2.5 minutes
Ensembles – Under 10: 3 minutes
Ensembles – Over 10: 4 minutes

Entrants must be backstage at least 5 routines before their scheduled performance.
Entrants must be ready 30 minutes prior to their first scheduled performance time.
A teacher or participant must check in with the Stage Manager before performing.
Only teachers may accompany students backstage; no parents permitted.
Noise must be kept to a minimum backstage.
Participants must follow all crew directions.
All props must be carried on and off stage by the dancers themselves

Awards
General Entry awards may include trophies, medals, gift vouchers, a tutu voucher, and a tiara.
Special awards may include:

Choreography Award / Adjudicator’s Choice
Artistic Award
General
If a participant leaves the stage, they may perform again; however, they may receive critique only and may not be eligible for awards, at the organiser’s discretion.
In the event of a technical issue (e.g., music or lighting failure), the dancer will not be penalised and may perform again later in the section.

Entries
Entries close 31 May 2026, or earlier if full.
Entries are first come, first served.
Full payment is required prior to final program being released

Add students.
Create entries.
Assign dancers to routines.
Complete checkout.
Note: Studio directors and attending teachers must also be entered to receive backstage access
