Overview
Age is determined as of 1 January in the event year.
Age Groups
Petite: 9–11 years
Junior: 12–14 years
Senior: 15–17 years
Pre-Professional: 18+
Scholarship participants may also enter General Entry routines.
Scholarship Entry Includes
Participation in an adjudicated masterclass
A classical variation or own classical / neo-classical solo
An own contemporary solo
Solo coaching with the adjudicator panel

Scholarship Repertoire & Solo Requirements
Scholarship dancers may choose a variation from the published repertoire list or perform their own selected classical / neo-classical solo.
Variations should match the dancer’s age group for safety and remain within the student’s capability.
Teachers may make modifications where required, provided the choreography remains recognisable and the overall flow is preserved.
Permitted Modifications Include:
Simplifying turns
Adjusting timing
Simplifying allegro
Changing the direction of a diagonal or manège
Contemporary Solo
Students may perform any of their own contemporary solo for the event.

Under 12 – Pointe work is not permitted for dancers under 12 years of age as of 1 January in the event year.
Ages 12–14 – Pointe work is not mandatory for classical variations.
Older Scholarship Sections – Pointe work is mandatory for classical variations only.

Scholarship Entry Requirements
Scholarship students must upload a headshot for the program.
Music must be uploaded by the nominated deadline.
Dancers must bring a USB backup on the day.
Studio Requirements
Studio accounts must ensure studio directors and attending teachers are entered in the portal.
This is required for backstage passes and meet-and-greet invitations.

Backstage Requirements
Scholarship entrants must be backstage at least 5 routines before their scheduled performance.
Entrants must be ready 30 minutes prior to their first performance time.
Entrants must check in with the Stage Manager before performing.
Only teachers may accompany students backstage; no parents permitted.
Participants must follow all crew directions.
Noise must be kept to a minimum backstage.
All props must be carried on and off stage by the dancers themselves.

Scholarship Finals
The Top 5 finalists in each age group are announced after the scholarship competition elements conclude.
Finalists then repeat both their variation and contemporary routine at the Final Gala.
Scholarships and final placings are announced during the Gala.

Entries close 31 May 2026, or earlier if full.
Entries are first come, first served.
Full payment is required to prior to final program being released
